To start off, let’s assume that you don’t have a family doctor. To take care of your physical health, it’s best to find an approachable and passionate family doctor as part of your healthcare team. Before you find one, you will most likely ask your family members or friends about their family doctors and their experience with their doctors. If you hear good things about any doctors, you’ll most likely ask to be referred to that doctor. You’ll go and visit a few doctors before deciding to settle with one that you are comfortable trusting your physical health with. After being accepted by your new family doctor, you usually go for your annual checkups or if you are feeling unwell at any time, you’ll pay your doctor a visit. During your visit to the doctor’s office, your doctor will ask questions about your current health and conduct examinations to diagnose any illness that you may have. At the end of the visit, the doctor will prescribe a medication prescription if it’s required to treat your illness. This is an ongoing process to keep you physically healthy.
So how’s going to the visit your doctor has anything to do with buying a home you may ask? Once again, let’s assume that you have not hired a Realtor and you want to purchase a property. To start this process, you probably will ask around your circle of family, friends or even colleagues to see if anyone had great experiences with any Realtor. After obtaining the references, you’ll meet with a few Realtors before deciding to settle with a trustworthy, ethical, knowledgeable and financially savvy Realtor that you are comfortable trusting your financial health with. Once you’ve decided work with that Realtor, the diagnosis of your current situation begins. Just like a doctor, to ensure that the right medication prescription is provide to treat the diagnosed illness, a great Realtor will thoroughly examine your requirements(housing type, location, size, bedrooms, washrooms, neighbourhood and etc.) to ensure that they are consistent with your budget.
When prescribing medication to you, great doctors will usually ask you what health plans you have, the coverage and will provide the best option to save you money, but still meeting your medication needs. The same thing could also be said of a great Realtor. Not only will a great Realtor ensure that you have the needed professional team to help you complete your property purchase, the Realtor will provide you with great money saving options along the way. Another similarity between doctors and Realtors is that they don’t get pay by their clients. For doctors, it’s the government that pays them and for Realtors, it’s the seller that pays their commission. So for great doctors and Realtors to ensure that they have a long-term working relationships with their clients, they’ll go beyond their normal duties to provide great services to you.

Very interesting analogy. I guess a good doctor can take care of your physical health and a good realtor can take care of your financial health.
Good doctors are hard to find. So is a good realtor.
They are out there. You just need to ask the right questions and ensure that you know the characteristics and skill sets that your realtor need to have in order to best assist you with your needs.
